Tribute to Jo Cox MP

Jo Cox was a wonderful human being, a passionate, clever, and caring person. She was a brilliant MP and, above all else, a wife and mum.

Our thoughts are with her family and friends. I know we are all devastated at what has happened.

Jo and her husband, Brendan, came to Enfield North to run a committee room on election day in 2010, in Highway ward, typically coming to work where they could make the most difference. They worked as if they themselves were the candidates, with total commitment and boundless energy – helping us win a Labour Council.

We will never forget Jo, we will continue to stand up for the human rights that she fought so hard for.

We will keep Brendan, their children and families in our thoughts.

In memory of Jo, family and friends are raising funds to support some of the charities closest to her heart.
