Queen's 90th Birthday

The Queen’s official birthday takes places on Saturday 11th June and there will be a series of celebrations in Enfield and across the country over the forthcoming weekend to mark this special day.

A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to celebrate the Queen’s Birthday at St. James’ Parish Church in Enfield. I was joined by Revd. Ian Gallagher, Cllr Christine Hamilton, Cllr Yasemin Brett and local residents - although sadly not the Queen in person, but a very good image of Her Majesty!

The Queen's Birthday Book is online and I have left the following message:

On behalf of the constituency of Enfield North and local residents, we would like to pay tribute to the lifelong commitment and remarkable public service you have given to our country.

The dignity, humility and grace with which you carry out your duties is an inspiration to us all.

We wish you health and happiness in the years ahead.

Happy 90th Birthday, Your Majesty.
