Joan Ryan MP welcomes ban on microbeads

Joan Ryan MP, a member of Parliament's Environmental Audit Committee, has praised the important step to protect the marine environment.

A large number of constituents have contacted me about microbeads and their harmful impact on the environment. As a member of the Environmental Audit Committee, Parliament's green watchdog, I am pleased to see that the Government has listened to the work of the Committee and has taken this important step to protect our marine environment.
