Joan Ryan MP visited JJ Food Services, a wholesale foods distributor in Enfield, and discussed how improvements in transport infrastructure will support local businesses and job creation.

It was a privilege to visit JJ Food Service Limited, a wholesale foods distributor, in Enfield this week. One of my key priorities is to promote local businesses and support jobs in our borough.

It was great to meet so many members of staff in their warehouse and telesales department and have the opportunity to talk to Terry Larkin, Group General Manager.

We discussed JJ Food Service Limited's expansion plans, the impact of Brexit on the wholesale industry and improvements to Enfield's transport infrastructure.

I will continue to call on the government and local train operators to improve our transport infrastructure, to reduce congestion and improve people's journeys to work.

Enfield is home to London's second largest industrial estate and there is a bright future ahead for our borough. It is vital to make these improvements, in order to attract more jobs and investment to our community.
