Joan Ryan MP pays tribute to London's Air Ambulance

Joan Ryan MP has marked National Air Ambulance Week by paying tribute to the work of London's Air Ambulance.

This week is National Air Ambulance Week and I want to pay tribute to London's Air Ambulance and raise awareness about their vitally important work.

Between January and June this year, 34 patients in Enfield received emergency treatment, out of a total of 917 patients across London.

London's Air Ambulance treats on average five critically injured people in London each day, performing medical interventions at the roadside which are normally only found in a hospital emergency department. Since its creation 28 years ago, London’s Air Ambulance has treated over 35,000 patients.

National Air Ambulance Week is an opportunity to recognise the incredible work of our helicopter crews, who fly across our skies every day to provide life-saving support and help from above.
