Joan Ryan MP has attended the Enfield Over 50's Forum's Winter Fair and spoke about the need to tackle fuel poverty and improve local health services.
Today I attended the Enfield Over 50's Forum's Annual Winter Fair, at Enfield County School.
The event is now in its fourth year and is going from strength to strength.
The Winter Fair is a testament to the great work the Over 50's Forum does to support the wellbeing of older people in Enfield and the effective manner in which they raise awareness of some really important issues.
It was an honour to be invited and during my speech I spoke about fuel poverty, our local health and social care services in Enfield and the need for a fair funding settlement for the borough.
When I was elected in 2015, I gave a commitment to constituents that I would be a campaigning MP for Enfield North – working hard for our area, our community and speaking up for the needs of people in Enfield.
I really enjoy campaigning on key issues with residents and groups like the Over 50's Forum.
By working together to tackle fuel poverty, to protect and improve our health and social care services, and by putting pressure on the government to provide the fairer funding settlement we need, we can help to ensure a better future for Enfield.
