Labour’s Shadow Business Secretary, Angela Eagle MP, declares Joan Ryan MP’s office officially open

Joan Ryan MP was delighted to welcome the Shadow First Secretary of State and Shadow Secretary of State for Business, Angela Eagle MP, to Enfield North to celebrate the official opening of her constituency office on the Hertford Road.

Speaking at a packed event, in Aksular restaurant on Wednesday 27th April, Angela Eagle gave a rousing speech about the importance of supporting local communities and how the Labour Party and its values are best placed to help Londoners in the upcoming London Mayoral and Greater London Authority (GLA) elections taking place on Thursday 5th May.

Joan and Angela were joined by Joanne McCartney – Labour’s candidate for the Enfield and Haringey seat on the GLA – as well as Enfield North constituents and Labour Party members.

Whilst the official opening of the office took place yesterday, the office has been open to the public since December 2015. Joan and her team are there to serve all of the local community. The office – located at 542 Hertford Road, Enfield, EN3 5ST - is open from 10am-5pm (Monday – Thursday) and 10am-6pm (on Fridays). Constituents can drop by to speak to a caseworker about any issue they may have or can book an appointment to see Joan, at her weekly advice surgery on Friday afternoons, by calling 0208 804 4543.

Joan Ryan MP, Labour Member of Parliament for Enfield North, said:

“It was great to welcome Angela to the constituency last night.

I’m delighted that we had the opportunity to celebrate the work of the office with so many friends, constituents and party members.

The thing I enjoy most about being the Member of Parliament for Enfield North is working with constituents and being in the position to act on their behalf. If a resident needs my help or wants to raise an issue with me, I look forward to welcoming them to my office and doing all I can to assist.”
